How do astrology / tarot / esoteric arts play a role in your life?
Once properly understood they become tools that help me unlock a path or part of myself that keeps unfolding. For my astrology is playful, curious, enlightening. Astrology is one of the oldest tools in mankind and there is something to say for that.
What limiting beliefs / blocks have you worked through to get where you are today?
I’m currently working through the block of self-worth. I’m getting curious about where that idea came from and how I can recreate new thought patterns to live a life that is more aligned with identity.
What’s your approach to natural wine? Why do you love it? AND, do you have any rituals?
A fun fact about natural wine is that the movement began in France and then led its way to the states, especially California. Currently I live in Marseille France and I am fortunate enough to be sipping on local natural wine most of the time. For me, wine is a special moment when I can wind down and connect to the grapes and to my surroundings. One of my favorite moments drinking wine is when I am cooking, the sun is setting and some jazz is playing in the background.
How do you nurture balance in your life? Any tips / tricks on how to enjoy yourself and stay grounded?
For me, I’ve found it extremely important to have a morning ritual. 1-2 hours in the morning for myself that are consistent. This typically consists of journaling, gi gong, some yoga and tea. Then everything else can unfold as it needs to.
What’s filling your cup this season?
The crisp waters and fresh Beaujolais of Marseille. The juxtaposition of the cool Mediterranean embrace with the wine’s fruity allure adds an extra layer of joy to my life these days.
Who and what is inspiring you right now?
Hmm. So many things! But I’d have to say I’m most inspired by food art lately. The more I delve into it, the more my creative spirit is ignited. I’m in awe of the process of creating beautiful pieces out of seasonal produce. Beyond the flavors, it’s a symphony of colors, textures, and shapes that transform ordinary ingredients into extraordinary canvases. It’s a celebration of the abundance of nature as well as a way to elevate cooking to an artistic expression, turning meals into memorable experiences.
Dream dinner party guests – dead or alive.
Jim Morrison, Charles Darwin, Jane Goddall, Alan Watts, Maraya (my spiritual teacher who is very much still alive), Krishnamurti and probably a few people from Alantis.
Where’s your happy place?
Currently it’s sitting by the water, taking a moment to slow down.
What's the best piece of advice you'd give to your younger self?
It’s okay to ask for help. There is great vulnerability & authenticity in building something beautiful with a group of likeminded individuals. Life is about sharing experiences and being apart of the collective. Trust in the flow and the rest will follow as it should. Last but not least, love yourself fully with each moment. And laugh! Laugh baby laugh.
